Very light weight boards

Pretty nice set of shelves. The shelves themselves are very light weight almost like balsa wood so screws go easily into the shelves during assemble. The brackets are more heavy and probably way overdone. I think the brackets could have been much smaller and more light weight since the shelves they hold are so light weight. Comes with plenty of assembly hardware, screw driver, level, all screws and drywall anchors. Personally I did not drill holds or use the wall anchors, I just used good screws into the drywall itself. Was plenty sturdy since I will not put anything heavy on the shelves. And I didn't want to put big anchor holes into the drywall. The shelves are not heavy. I suggest painting the brackets white instead of leaving them black. White looks a lot better for these wall shelves. Or paint the brackets the color of your wall. The shelves are on the small side so take note of the measurements. Shelves and brackets can be assembled in various ways to suit your needs and appearance. I'm happy with the shelves and I would buy these again if I needed more smaller sized shelves. PS. Each of the shelves come wrapped in clear shrink plastic and I would suggest not removing the plastic. The clear plastic doesn't affect appearance and makes the shelves water proof and easy to dust off.

I would say the color is exactly as advertised and perfectly nice to look at. Of course, they aren't true wood planks so they are flimsier, but I never set myself up for that expectation. I don't put anything heavy on it, just some pet supplies I don't want my bunnies getting into, and it feels pretty sturdy.
It was easy to set up and it didn't have any damage when it came in. As long as you use your tools properly, it should work out fine. It comes with all the screws and wall ports you need and some extras. It also comes with a cute little screw driver and beam level if you don't have your own tools. It'll just be a little more difficult.
