I purchased this for my daylight walkin basement bedroom and love it! Setting it up was very simple with the guidance of the manual and incredibly easy to do. The sound is far more quiet than what it ended up replacing the suddenly died in the middle of the night and never seemed to run correctly and was far much louder. After having it plugged in for not even 12 full hours I drained it 2 times and have been incredibly impressed as to how accurately correct it has been on the humidity level reading that another gauge I have in the room has been showing me. If anything this has been one purchase that if I had seen how incredibly fantastic it works I would have saved money and gotten this instead. Before buying this I read several reviews on many websites (Home Depot, Walmart & Waykar) I was so impressed that just reading what others had typed up and shared for photos and video I was so impressed with that I saw that I was more than willing to give it a try and I have to say I could not be more pleased that I did so!

So far so good it took a few days but it lowered the humidity 15 percent. I have it running all the time so I have the hose on and it keeps a big puddle of water on the basement floor.

I bought a Waykar 30 pint 1500 sq ft dehumidifier over 6 months ago. Due to circumstances I didn't try operating it until just recently. But after the unit's fan kicked on no water was discharged. I contacted Waykar's service Dept and Bonnie responded right away. She walked me through some trouble shooting ideas but unfortunately they didn't result in the unit functioning properly. I was disappointed because I really liked the sleek design. It reminded me of the robot "˜Eve' in the animated movie WALL-E. Even though I'd had the unit for over 6 months Bonnie told me they would send out a new unit at no charge (not even shipping) and I could dispose of the non-working unit. How great is that?! I can't wait to get the new unit, and will provide an updated review after it arrives. It was so refreshing to get help so quickly and cheerfully. Waykar is the best!

The best thing i can say about this unit is that I don't really notice it. It's quiet and keeps the space dry and free of mold and mildew. I use it in a bonus suite over the garage that had moister issues. fixed those problems and minimize the need to run the AC as much. Bought one for the daughter's dorm room too. I would buy again.
