It is nice that is folding. It is compact in size when folded, perfect for travel. This will also be perfect fit if you have the Richell expandable crate and you use the exact size pads.
I so much want to like this. I thought it would be just like the rectangle version, just different in shape and this one just being folding. I should have read the description thoroughly. To my disappointment, this is only 1 piece, there is no bottom tray - unlike the rectangle version, which is a 3-piece.
I have a playpen with 8 panels at 24" each but no bottom. This would not work for my purpose. I need one with a tray to catch any pee, in case the pad leaks or for any overflow instead of going straight to the floor.
My Yorkie pup is in a chewing phase. This is fairly thin and light. My pup will be able to flip this and get to the pad to chew.
The pad will be held in 4 corners only and not all the way around. With an oversized pad, you won't be able to fold and hide all the edges enough. I prefer the pads from Costco for price and absorbency, not willing to pay more for exact size pads for this.
When you lay this out, it is so flat on the ground. Even with the mesh, the dog's paws may still get wet unlike the rectangle version, where the mesh is slightly elevated.
I took off a star from my rating because it will not work for me although it may work for someone else.

Hi puppy was able to open the snap and get the potty pads out and shred them it worked until she did that

This keeps the potty pad where I want it. My puppy isn't able to shred the pads now.

The media could not be loaded. (Here is my puppy actually using the product and the chewing marks) When I read the reviews after purchasing I was slightly concerned that it didn't have a bottom plate it only included the top grate with the snapping components on the corner. Though one I got it, it was amazing! The only problem is cleaning it is difficult unless you hose it down and wipe dry. Another issue is if your dog is a chewer (especially on plastic) they will be able to open up the corners but mine only opened up one and the pad still stayed in place. All I'm saying is to see how your dog interacts with the product first :)

This is great for my apartment but my dog refuses to use it. I even purchased the spray to attract her to this place to potty. She won't go near it.
