I bought one of these because my partner has been known to remove this specific splitter when he leaves for work as an act of spite and pettiness which is childish on his part. I bought this as a secret backup and sure enough a few months later he pulls this stuff again before heading out the door. I suddenly remembered my backup and connected it AND IT WORKED LIKE A CHARM! We have Xfinity, if that info matters. Plus, it's always good to have a backup regardless of circumstances.
