After going through three weeks of physical therapy, using shoe inserts, and trying ice and stretches to take away my plantar fasciitis pain, I decided to buy some "equipment." I first tried Nice Stretch 90 Patented Plantar Fasciitis Night Splint with Cold Therapy and Non-Skid Sole, Small/Medium . First, the product I received did not have the diagonal straps pictured. Second, it did not work for me.

I then purchased the Futuro Night Plantar Fasciitis Sleep Support and have achieved some comfort after wearing this for several nights but it wasn't enough comfort. That is when I paired them with these compression socks by first wearing these and then putting on the Strutz Cushioned Arch Supports . Over that I put the brace on the affected foot. Wearing the compression socks gave my foot the support it needed and the cushioned arch supports made sure I had additional support so that I wasn't stepping flat on the floor but instead on the cushion.

I tried the socks alone and they only took some of the pain away. These socks are very tight and after reading other reviews, I ordered the large size since I take a size 9 shoe. There is room in the heel due to the large size but I feel if ordered a medium, it would have been very uncomfortable because they are so tight.

UPDATE Sept 10, 2016 - I've been wearing these regularly at night with the Strutz Cushioned Arch Supports and even though they don't take all my pain away, they are better than the Futuro Plantar Fasciitis Sleep Support . Also, the socks have stretched out some, so I actually decided to order two more pairs but in a size medium. I expect that size to be very tight but since I'm wearing them a lot, I feel they will stretch out.

UPDATE Sept 13, 2016 - I like these more every day. When I combine a pair of regular socks over a pair these socks with my Skechers Sport Women's D'Lites Higher Heeled Sneaker in addition to Dr. Scholl's DreamWalk Hidden Arch Supports and Dr. Scholl's Massaging Gel Heel Cushions Men's 8-13 my feet feel fantastic with only a minor ache. It seems these socks really do work eventually. Therefore, I increased my rating to 4 stars.

Also, the medium is actually a better fit for me than the large I ordered originally. With the medium on my size 8-1/2 to 9 foot, I don't have any extra space left over in the heel.

Nice for summer; not too heavy or thick. Easy to get on. Dries quickly after washing and has retained its shape. I will buy again. The blue is a pretty color.

I have lymphedema causing a lot of edema to sit in my left foot. I've also had two ankle surgeries with a lot of scar tissue build up. It's been very hard to find a light weight brace or light compression that isn't difficult to get on and I can wear comfortably in a flip flop. A support that goes all of the way down to my toes. Most end mid foot. Much of the swelling builds in the metatarsal area. These are awesome! I will definitely be ordering more of these!! Helps with the ankle pain too!

I use them while sitting at my desk as I have mild lymphedema. They really help in the summer when I don't want to wear knee high 25-35 support socks.
