If you use it for Cox, you should plan on leaving it running for at least 15 minutes before trying to configure it. Take note of the serial number and MAC address, so that if it doesn't activate right away, you have that handy for support. On top of that, you will need to log in to the router at the end to make sure the internet connection works. Otherwise, you will get connection errors, even if you get the online light on. You could probably get this at Staples, the box will show 'Nighthawk AX6' and 'AX2700' on the front, but there will be a small sticker by the barcode that should say 'CAX30'. It needs to be an exact match. You can't just get one in the same 'range'. Works fine, and I can configure advanced settings like I planned to

I chose to go with this product as opposed to what WOW! offers for a monthly fee because it's more powerful and won't take long to pay for itself since I own it outright.
I have not had the occasion to use their human tech support. The WOW! tech installed it then after he left, I used the manufacturer's website to change my wifi's name and password to what I wanted; I will say that the website process could be easier "” working with it is not for the novice.

Which the Product had both Smart Mobile app and Computer install instruction. Being old school a network routers are for computing and WiFi added on not WiFi first then Computer. In my local we have Power outages the affected Cellar service. Cable and ethernet are hard wire hard to lose.
It been awhile since I had to install new network Modem and Router. When the step connect to ISP I had to call them to ping it.

My ISP is WOW. Had no problems installing & the modem/wi-fi worked well for a while. I started having problems after about 6 weeks (firmware update maybe?). Was able to get reconnected via tech support. And was again good for a while then began failing again. Ultimately I replaced with a different brand, but I believe it's more because of my ISP and not because of a product fault. It would likely work great with one of the larger carriers.
