For moving furniture or appliances along a small grade this is somewhat helpful. It can take a while to get the straps on and adjusted correctly.
If you're trying to move an object up or down stairs I would recommend just getting more hands because these straps make it much harder without really easing the load on your arms.

I bought these some months back to move a HEAVY HEAVY dresser from my garage to the furthest bedroom from the garage in our home. I really love these straps because (1) they can bear 5000lbs, (2) they bear weight well even with the height difference between lifters.
