Not a replacement for the FORCE-DARK

I've used Force-Dark cameras for years, and one went white-screen on me this fall. After trying to get help and support from Spypoint for several weeks I gave up and purchased the Force-Pro thinking it was a replacement for the Force-Dark. The two things that I don't like at all are (1) the Lithium batteries that fit the Force-Dark (which their website said would also fit this model) don't fit. In fact, once I had it in my hand, I couldn't find that there is ANY rechargeable lithium available for this at all except off-the-shelf rechargeable AA batteries. (2) It's not programmable for a time on and time off like the Force-Dark was. It's 'on' or 'off' all the time. This, to me, seems like an engineering oversight.
On the positive side, so far the night pictures are clearer that the Force-Dark camera's.

I got this camera knowing Spy Point has good reputation. The camera was simple to setup. It came with a 16 GB SD card which was nice. 30mp images and pretty quick trigger speed. I have several cameras of all different makes and models. This one is comparable with the other top name brands. I'm happy so far.
Survived a Flood!

The videos captured by this camera have been good. The sound quality is too. I'm pleased with the results. However, I am THRILLED to share that this camera survived being washed away during a major flood event. My co-worker just called to tell me that he found the camera caught on our boardwalk downstream from the beaver dam where it was posted and it still WORKS! There is no water inside of the casing. None of the Bushnell cameras we've used have survived water, which is frustrating for a place with wetlands in the name.

The day photos are pretty good, especially when I compare this camera to a bushnell model and Alpha camera. The night photos though I feel could be better. That's why I'm rating the Force Pro at four stars. Detection is good. Overall not a bad "work horse" camera as SPYPOINT claims. One other Four star reason"¦.if you want the maximum amount of 30mp photos you need a 128GB SD card.
