These cups are sold as cups for coffee but they are best for tea as well. They are very well made compared to four double-walled 12 oz cups that I had bought three years ago in July, 2020. In addition, these are slightly less expensive even though you know prices have gone up for many things in these three years.
The outside dimensions of these better made cups are bigger giving them better insulation. The better insulation is crucial for tea because otherwise your tea is always getting cold.
With these cups you will pour the tea once and then you can forget the microwave.

I loved these cups when I got them. They seemed perfect. However, after only a dozen or so uses, one of them cracked near the handle. Shortly after that, the other one cracked in the same place. These cups have not been abused in any way. They were hand washed each time and never saw the inside of the dishwasher. I never dropped them. There is no apparent reason they should have cracked. And as a result of the crack, conensation has gotten between the walls.
++++++IMPORTANT UPDATE The company contacted me and offered to replace the cups free of charge or refund my money. As I said earlier, I loved these cups when I got them. They are beautiful and the coffee looks amazing in them. So, when faced with the decision to replace or refund, of course I chose replace. I am happy to give the product another chance.

These mugs have the special gold in the bottom, which serves only technological purpose- to create double walls. This hole has tendency to produce cracks, and, as result, mug is falling apart by itself. And this is glass! It happen when I just filled the mug with hot water, and discovered that, in a second, I saw multiple cracks, and the mug fell apart in my hands, fortunately it happened over the kitchen sink. I understand, in country where these mugs being produced, people's' safety is not important, but why Amazon allowed it show up for sale? So not buy it!
