Purchased this unit in February of 2023 and squirrel it in the rear interior portion of the wife's Tahoe. Install was a breeze, no big issues as long as you have an idea as to how 12VDC gadgets work (if not, YouTube a couple of videos, you'll be an expert).
Bought the unit for some piece of mind in case of vehicle theft (live in proximity of Philadelphia). The Android app does what it aims to do and the website's features are robust.
I was inspired to write this review, nearly a year later after having "chatted" with Elisa from customer support. I wanted to change my billing from monthly to annually, 1) because I hate monthly bills (the whole 'death by a thousand cuts' thing) and 2) they give you a slight break on the service fee if you pay for the year up front. The whole transaction took 90 seconds and the agent even knew that my regular monthly payment had already processed so she pro-rated the year's subscription. I was left with having my request fulfilled in a painless and timely way.
Super satisfied customer here.

This Optimus unit is much more precise than I expected in a consumer GPS. I moved the car over 3 feet on the driveway, and it registered that small move and drew a new map. Impressive. It updates at 30 second intervals, which is adequate for my use, which is to track the car if it is stolen (just had another car stolen from me in Arizona -- and recovered by Colorado police - YAY! ). It is also very sensitive to movement such as shutting the trunk or closing a door. For some, it might be too sensitive, but if so, the apps do allow you to turn the "movement alert" on and off quickly. Obviously anyone trying to monkey with the car is going to set it off -- even if they jack it up for stealing wheels or to tow, it is going to alert. The phone app and the web browser app are not all that impressive, but they do respond quickly to the units communications, usually within 5-7 seconds of the "triggering event" in my testing of it. It also uses Google maps, so that is a good thing. Overall, I'd say the apps are mediocre, but still no complaints, as they DO get the job done in a basic way. Installation is as simple as splicing into a 12v wire ("hot" at all times) and a ground wire. Easy as pie (the unit comes with its own in-line fuse holder and 5A fuse). It draws only a few mA, and leaving the car parked for 5 days without being started had no effect at all on the battery's starting power delivery. I can't speak to longevity or durability, but the GPS unit seems to be well made and a solid piece. As long as it holds up over time, this seems to be a really good unit and a nice bang-for-the-buck value.
So far it's a good tracker.

I've only had this installed for just a few days now.
This is a nice hardwired gps tracker with cellular service. It can be pretty accurate, however sometimes it can be off by 30 feet, which is still pretty good. I like that if it loses cell signal, it will update once signal has been regained so you don't lose any tracking. It's light and compact, about the size of a normal smart phone, not the plus versions. I absolutely love that it has a built in battery so if you loose power, it will continue to operate for a while after. The way it comes, it's meant to be installed right at the battery which does make for an easy install. You can either secure it with screws or use the adhesive that comes with it. It has a lifetime warranty! That's so awesome these days, but only if you are subscribed to their service, which is completely understandable.
My cons are :
The wires are only about a foot long, for my installation I had to lengthen them about another foot.
When it detects movement it's extremely sensitive, I had to turn the movement alerts off. When I cut my grass I used a handheld gas blower and it sent a movement alert. If you are messing around in the vehicle for a bit, you'll get an alert every few minutes. I wished you could adjust the sensitivity for it.
Since it's meant to be installed at the battery, it can potentially be an obvious thing to see when you pop the hood. I didn't want that for my situation, so I chose to install it elsewhere a bit more discreet and had to extend the wires. Not that big of a deal for me, but some may have an issue with that.
The app is a bit basic, not much customization you can do. I'd like to be able to change the track line colors so it would be different than the traffic lines and have the ability to have different colored track lines for different trips. This would help differentiate different trips on the same path.
It does not always center to the current location of the vehicle or sometimes when it does, it's zoomed way out and you have to keep zooming in. I would like it to default to zoomed in anytime you hit the refresh button. But, for the most part it does, probably around 70% of the time.
If anything changes, I'll update my review.
Overall, completely satisfied so far.

Very easy set up. Very accurate. Affordable plan. Good for keeping track of your fleet and knowing where your cars are at. Like the discreet nature of this one. The phone notifications take a bit to set up but that's my favorite feature. Good buy.
