Best electric scooter ive purchased so far! Its very fast, I've gotten it to 30mph. It has a great batter life. I did about 8 miles out of the box with my 8 and 3 year old boys, they rode bobsled style with legs crossed on the floor and me on the seat with feet resting on rear shock absorbers, then i did another 4 miles alone at high speed, still had half the battery.
The shox work great, u might here a clang noise after the front springs absorb shock and bounce back but u cant feel it and it only happens at high speed. Do make sure to tighten every screw before riding, it is necessary. I honestly didnt think i would like the rainbow LEDs but they look awesome at night and ive gotten compliments about them. The turn signals are very handy, horn could be louder and the front headlight isnt amazing but it does help at night. Love the solid tires. Seat is big and ugly but comfortable, from reading other reviews i didnt thnk i would like it, people mentioned it wobbled and other things but i think maybe they didnt tighten the bolt at the bottom. I love the seat. Scooter is heavy but manageable. Feels sturdy. Brakes work very well. I love the 3 gear modes. Nice to bring down the power when the kids wana jump on with dad, and they do...alot. I would recommend getting a seperate headlight for the handle bars. Be aware tho there isnt much room on the handlebars for accessories, i ended up strapping my extra headlight onto the collar that u pull to fold the handle bars. Im ok with it tho. I absolutely recommend this to anyone who needs a little more than just
urban city needs, the tires and height offer way more surface types to cover (some light off road capability, especially if there is no incline) and the range to get farther. The 🔑 key function is awesome, I prefer it to an app lock. Also the rainbow LEDs can be turned on and off, they dont stay on (it was initially a concern of mine, being too loud). Kickstand it strong and in a good place design wise.
Time is the true rest. I will update in 1 month.

I use this to commute to work in a big city, all flat roads, about 3 miles round trip every day. No issues there.

For speed, I weigh 160lbs, and the fastest this has ever gone on flat terrain was 26mph. Going slightly downhill I've probably reached 28mph.

For battery, the furthest trip I've ever reached was just under 16 miles, but I only used gear 3 in sport mode for fastest speeds. Perhaps it would last longer on a lower gear/mode.

For sturdiness, I've lost many bolts and screws due to frequent usage. You need to learn how to tighten
and possibly replace bolts. The brakes will not be as effective after some use, and they will require occasional tightening as well.

Overall 4/5. Unless it's on sale here, you can find it cheaper from the manufacture site.
Fantastic Commuter Scooter is a Great Value with Long Battery Life
HokiEE01✓ Verified PurchaseJune 18, 2023
The media could not be loaded. The Evercross H5 Electric Scooter is a serious scooter for commuters. It is loaded with upgrades but I think the best feature of this scooter is its battery life. While battery life might not be on the top of your list, what I found is that the longer and faster you go on this scooter the longer you want to keep riding it. It is amazing how quickly the miles start to add up.

Older kids (11+) can enjoy this scooter as well if they wear a helmet, respect the rules of the road, and respect the speed guidelines that you have set for them. The main advantage an older kid will see on this scooter is that it will go all weekend long for them as opposed to cheaper brands, which will die out after 20 "“ 30 minutes of runtime. My son did 12 miles of riding on this scooter over 45 minutes and was only down one battery bar of the 5 because he weighs 88 lbs.

This scooter is also an excellent choice for larger riders, riders over 300 lbs. It has a weight capacity limit of 330 lbs and as a larger rider it got me up to 22 mph on a straightaway. I was able to go 12 miles on it as well but that took 2 battery bars for me. I am confident I can get 18+ miles on this scooter off a full charge as a large rider because I still had plenty of juice left on the battery after my 12 mile ride. It even took me up a nice size hill although I did the hill with a running start and it was only going about 6 mph at the top but it kept going and made it. Where it really struggled though was going over grass, I started to push with my right foot and that was able to get it going and a few pushes later I made it back to pavement.

Delivery and unboxing was quick and setup was easy. You just open the box, remove the protective packaging, use the illustrated installation manual, tighten a few allen bolts down and are probably good to go in 30 "“ 35 minutes. They provide you with everything you need to tighten all of the allen bolts and the manual was super helpful and easy to follow. Once I finished my final assembly of the scooter, I checked the wheels to make sure they spun freely. The front wheel was touching the disc brake a little so I pulled on it until it wasn't. The guides are so tight that any imbalance in the disc needs to be corrected but you just push in on the brake until it does not touch the caliper. I also had to change the display from km to mph, which can be a little bit tricky until you figure it out. It is not the most user friendly but once you get it to the way you want it, you don't need to mess with it again.

After charging up the scooter for awhile, I took it out for its maiden voyage. I was not a fan of the seat at first but once I started going faster I realize that it was much more stable with a seat. If you want, you can remove the seatpost as well which is nice. I noticed the seat swivels, which I did not like but is a feature of the seat provided. If you don't like or want this feature, than you will need to purchase a new seatpost. I believe it swivels because of the shock that is on the top of the seatpost.

As I said before, I am a larger rider and I had no problems getting up to 22 mph on a flat, paved straightway. The scooter also handled most hills pretty reasonably, It would slow down as it got harder but like I said before, if you just sit tight it will make it. Another suggestion on really tough hills would be to push it as well. For most riding situations though, this scooter handled great. The dual shocks, disc brakes, comfortable seat, easy trigger to move, it was great. I enjoyed my riding so much that I was oblivious to how far I had actually traveled. I think the best feature of this scooter is the battery life because it allows you to really get a nice long and enjoyable ride out of the scooter. Other scooters which cost less really cut down on the expensive batteries but this is where all the fun is. The 600w hub motor is not a speed demon for accelerating either, unless you weigh 100 lbs, but once it gets up there it had a very nice top end and you will quickly catch up to your friend. The batteries are lithium ion, so they work great, they hold a nice charge, do not have memory effect but most importantly perform like a lithium ion battery product. Traditional batteries have been described as like you are coming down a mountain where performance is best the first 5 "“ 10 minutes but after 20 minutes or slow the scooter will hardly move. Lithium ion batteries are completely different animals, they are more like falling off a cliff. It is full power from start to end and then zero power.

This is a serious scooter, for commuters, older kids and for those that are looking for an upgraded scooter. I am very happy with the delivery, easy setup, ride quality, battery life and upgraded features. My kids loved the LED lights on the sides and as a father I love how this makes them more visible at night, with the headlight and tail light included. It comes with a horn but the sound was so bad my son said he would never be using it and I tend to agree with him. It is nice to have though, but it needs to make a bell sound instead of an annoying beep. I have two older boys who took turns on this scooter and the best part is that the scooter could take whatever they threw at it because they don't weigh a bunch. Larger riders will find this scooter surprising fun and will enjoy the longer range and battery life as they will need these features to really get maximum enjoyment of out the product.
Very comfortable ride very fast scooter it to anybody that wants a good quality scooter
Sjsharken ✓ Verified PurchaseJune 13, 2023
I actually bought this scooter from my daughter to get to work. Sometimes I find myself on the scooter more than her very fun to ride. Very fast the only problem that we had which was our fault is my daughter wanted to race and she crashed it. It caused the throttle to crack a little bit. But it still works as it should very good quality and I recommend to anybody looking for cheap and quick transportation. Shouldn't she was going about 25 miles an hour? When she crashed I would expect it. To crack like it did.
Built for a more heavy-duty ride across the urban landscape
Outdoor Enthusiast | Geek | Photographer✓ Verified PurchaseJune 2, 2023
The media could not be loaded. The Evercross H5's build quality is immediately noticeable: hefty, tough feel with clean assembly and urban friendly features. Its wide foot base with front/rear disc brakes afford stability, while the dual wheel suspension and removable, height-adjustable seat provide comfort over bumpy roads. What helped make this foldable, electric scooter stand out are the colorful, changing LED lights along the sides of the deck, a key to unlock the electrical system, left and right turn blinkers, and a whopping 30 mph top speed! And that is where the scooter turns into questionable, legal territory: the distracting lights and maximum speed may land you a ticket, depending on where you live and ride. Unfortunately, the deck lights cannot be independently and easily turned off.

Compared to my first scooter, the Joyor X5S, the Evercross is much heavier and larger, making it less portable but better suited for tough terrains that would make the Joyor tremble and hesitate to go on. The scooter's handles and bar can be folded flat onto the deck, then carried by the latter part, but the removable seat must be removed. Furthermore, the unsecured seat post that is left behind could potentially scratch the base's anti-slip grip tape. Full removal of said post would require some effort and time.

Scooter can be secured through the locking area (at the bar/deck junction) and front wheel, and the 10" tubeless tires minimize the risk of having a flat. The 480 Wh 18650 Battery (48V @ 10A) can be replaced or removed by uncovering the bottom of the deck. The battery is rated to take a rider for 31+ miles (with a runtime between 1-3 hours), but keep in mind that using the electronically-activated brakes or climbing uphill often can result in a lower range. Joyor's lighter weight was able to achieve 31-40 miles on a single charge. It took about 5-6 hours to fully charge the battery, and the maximum weight of the rider is 330 lbs, according to the manufacturer.

Overall, the questionably legal, powerful 600W brushless motor (800W peak) with my tested, top speed of 30 mph, programmable options, stability, and comfortable design make the Evercross H5 a joy to ride "” but not so much fun to carry around for a prolonged time with its 44 lb weight (Joyor's is 33 lbs). Turn on the headlight and the dynamically colorful deck LEDs for an additional fun factor, and you could zip around town like a pimp screaming for attention (with a potential ticket by the police for being too distracting to drivers.) As exciting and powerful as the Evercross and any other electrical scooter are, make sure they are legal to ride in your area. Most, if not all, jurisdictions prohibit operating an eScooter on the sidewalk. Nonetheless, the Evercross scooter is built for a more heavy-duty ride across the urban landscape.

- Water resistance: IPX5
-- Allows for sustained, low-pressure water jet sprays, making it fine for rainy days
- Cruise control capable (Default: Disabled. See TIPS section to enable)
-- Activate by holding the acceleration at the same pressure for 3 seconds. Not recommended for above 15.5 mph
- Optional safety feature that prevents motor from starting when tires are not moving. See TIPS section to enable
- Arrived nearly fully assembled and VERY well-packaged
- 1 year warranty with 6 months on battery

CONS
- LED lights along deck's sides
-- Automatically turn on with the head-/tail lights
--- Cannot be independently turned off
-- Can potentially be "too distracting" and illegal in some jurisdictions
- Display mode can be changed by operating a switch found inside the deck (see YouTube video, titled "Adjust the side Light", published by "Fix")
- Top speed: 30 mph. U.S. law generally limits speed to 15.5 mph, making the Evercross potentially illegal to ride. Check with your local regulations
- Weight: 44 lbs. Much heavier than Joyor X5S's 33 lbs, making it less portable but more stable and better suited for tough terrains
- Seat post
-- Must remove seat to fully fold down onto the deck
-- When folded, post stays loose and could potentially scratch the base's anti-slip grip tape
-- Full removal (to turn into a standing-only eScooter) takes a lot of effort
- Only available in black
- Gear can only be shifted in sequence, not up and down
-- Shifting cycles through 1, 2, 3, 1, 2, 3, etc
- LCD came in metric units (km/h and km), but can be configured to show miles and mph. See TIPS section
-- Display unit is exposed on the handlebar. In a crash, the controller may become damaged
--- Some scooter manufacturers integrate their LCDs at the center of the handlebar for a more sleek look
- IPX5 water resistance does not allow eScooter to be submerged. Keep deck above water level
- Only basic instructions included on how to operate the scooter
- Some wiring is exposed externally

TIPS

OPERATION
- For your safety, lean forward when accelerating, lean back when braking
- Do not brake hard. Doing so could make you painfully tumble, scooter skid, and/or wear out the tires
-- Be aware of unexpected obstacles. I tumbled once at roughly 5 mph when transitioning from grass to concrete. It was not fun
- Scooter on/off: Long-press Power button
-- Gently push on accelerator lever to start moving. Apply more pressure for faster acceleration
--- To prevent accidental acceleration, I changed this to require scooter to move forward a bit before the motor would start. See PROGRAMMING section
-- Push M button to shift between gears 1-3
- Left Handle
-- On/Off: Head-/Tail lights
-- Left/Right: Blinker lights
-- Red button: Horn
- I found the most stability (especially when turning) by putting one foot pointing forward and the other at 45 degrees to the side
- As battery neared empty, I noticed that maximum speed gradually lowered
- Scooter is designed for only 1 rider. California law prohibits having a passenger

DISPLAY OPTIONS
When the scooter is powered on, the Odometer is displayed. Push the Power button to cycle through the following screens:
- Odometer
- Trip meter
- Seconds elapsed since power on
- Error code. (E-000 = Everything normal)
- Amperage. (ie. A-000)
- Voltage (ie. U-50.2)

LOCKING AGAINST THEFT
Scooter can be secured with a heavy-duty cable through the front, 10" wheel spokes and the junction between the deck and vertical handle bar. The rear wheel can be fastened with a disc brake lock. Loop the cable(s) around an immovable object. Don't forget to take the ignition key with you!

AIRCRAFT TRANSPORTATION
Most, if not all, airlines prohibit electronic scooters that do not meet specific criteria. United Airlines, for example, allows collapsible ones whose battery is both removable and below 300 Wh. This scooter's is 480 Wh. Lithium-ion batteries are known to be volatile, and the higher their capacity, the more risky they are. Check with the airlines for more details.

PROGRAMMING SCOOTER
The LCD displays the current speed and odometer in kilometers and km/h. Thankfully, it appears to be made by the same manufacturer as the one used by the Joyor X5S, and I immediately knew how to program it. It should be noted that changing any settings could void the warranty and cause unintended consequences such as injury.

To enter programming mode: Hold the Power and M buttons together for a few seconds. Cycle through the options by pushing Power. Push M to edit the option, and move up or down with M or Power, respectively. Hold Power and M together to accept the setting.

PROGRAM OPTIONS
PROGRAM AT YOUR OWN RISK!
- P02: Unit display. 0 = kilometers (km/h), 1 = miles (mph). Default: 0
- P03: Do not modify. Battery Voltage. 24, 36, 48. Default: 48
- P04: Idle time to enter sleep mode. 1-60 minutes. 0 = Do not sleep. Default: 5
- P06: Do not modify. Wheel diameter (in inches). Accuracy: 0.1". Default: 9.6
- P07: Do not modify. Number of magnetic steel for velocity measurement (1-100). Default: 30
- P08: Do not modify. Hidden setting to set the maximum speed the scooter can go
- P09: Motor startup. 0 = Can start without movement, 1 = Can only start when scooter is moving. Default: 0
- P15: Maximum percentage of speed limit (set by P08) the motor can output. 100 = Full speed. Default: 100%
-- For example, if the scooter's maximum speed is 30 mph, and P15 is set to 50%, then it can only go up to 15 mph (30 x 50%)
- P16: Cruise control. 0 = Disabled, 1 = Enabled. Default: 0
- P99: Factory reset. Hold M button for 5-6 seconds to reset all settings

SET TOP SPEED
You can limit or increase the maximum speed of this scooter with the P15 program option. You may want to do this for safety or regulatory reasons. This scooter's top speed is 29 mph, and setting P15 resulted in the following maximums:
- P15 = 100% | Gear 1 @ 10 mph / Gear 2 @ 19 mph / Gear 3 @ 29 mph
- P15 = 62% | Gear 1 @ 5 mph / Gear 2 @ 11 mph / Gear 3 @ 21 mph

Use the below formula to help you determine the desired percentage. Actual test results may vary slightly.
(Desired Top Speed for Gear 3 / Scooter's Top Speed) x 100 = % to Set for P15

MOTORIZED SCOOTER LAWS
Check with federal, state, and local regulations governing the use of electric scooters. I had thought that federal laws prohibited recreational eScooters from going over 15.5 mph, but imported ones like this Evercross go well beyond that. In case it is illegal to go faster than that, look at my PROGRAMMING section to learn how to throttle the max speed to get this scooter compliant.

CONCLUSION
The Evercross H5 is a heavy scooter but makes up for it with a slightly more powerful motor, higher top speed, urban-friendly features, tougher design that enables it to go on rougher terrain, and a more comfortable, stable ride. It appears to have been built to be rugged and for city use.
