The hardest part of installing this was figuring out how to open my case, which, of course, has nothing to do with the network adapter. But once I figured that out, it slotted in very easily, and was returning 2 Gb speeds as soon as I got my PC powered back up.

The newer versions of Linux recognized this card without problem. Having transfer speed of over 250MB/s across my Windows PC to my home storage server is a major increase of speed.

This card works ok so far. It's a bit annoying that I had to hunt the internet for the driver files, then it takes an effort to get the correct ones to actually load. I can't stand how any given hardware Microsoft uses it's own generic drivers from 2006 and says that the best ones are loaded already if you try to update with Microsoft. Or it doesn't recognize the device, etc.
As the title says, who still has a CD drive in their laptop/workstation. I'm still slightly confused about the drivers as there are 3 devices recognized and the website with the recent ones wasn't in English.

Bought 2, It works, the LED lights are a bit bright I plan to slap some electrical tape over them to dull out the blinking. yellow blink for gigabit, red blink for multi gigabit.

Bought two of these since I am upgrading the core switch in my home to 2.5Gb and my ISP (AT&T Fiber) has a 2.5Gb ethernet interface on their gateway device. I am using these in an old Lenovo ThinkServer TS140 running OpenBSD 7.0 as my edge firewall. The cards were detected without issue and work perfectly at 2.5Gb link speed.
