In love this filling for my stuffed creations. Just don't stick your nose directly in it and it doesn't really have a bad smell. I tried to smell it after finishing a stuffed sock monster and I couldn't, so the smell has no effect in the finished product. I really like how springy this stuffing is! Very easy to pull out the right amount, too.

The stuff in my bean pillow was small and chunky, and difficult to manage, so I thought perhaps I'd be getting something similar, but was pleasantly surprised- it came in long and silky and light, and pulled gently apart, making it easy to stuff and less lumpy. Ended up topping off our pillows since they didn't put enough stuffing in. Would recommend if you have the kapok bean pillows!

This stuffing is perfect for stuffing little handmade creatures I make for my grandchildren.
For those who have allergies, this stuffing is what you'll want to use.
It's soft, hypoallergenic and easy to use.
The stuffing arrived when I hoped it would, was packaged as it should be and was not too expensive. It's also made in America.
I'll continue to order it for future projects.

I had never used kapok before but thought I'd try it out as I don't care to be personally responsible for putting more petrochemical products into the environment nor killing geese. I was pleasantly surprised by how soft and silky kapok is and how nicely it functions as pillow stuffing. I needed a small pillow for my lower back and this made the perfect little support pillow, soft, fluffs up after using and is an organic product so no pesticides or herbicides.
I have one small criticism, the packaging. It comes in a plastic bag that has been compressed by wrapping a LOT of plastic tape around it. Getting the tape off tore the bag in many places allowing the kapok to get everywhere. I would like it to come in a cloth bag, or even a paper one. I am trying to reduce my use of plastic but also this was just a pain to get into.
Aside from that it's great. The amount I ordered will easily make several pillows since it was packed down and gets fluffed up to be used, much like down without the poor geese.

I bought this to make my own pregnancy pillow as I couldn't find a pregnancy pillow online that didn't break me out in hives (I tried 4 different pillows) - I believe I'm allergic to whatever stuffing they use.

This was fantastic. I bought two c shaped pregnancy pillow covers, and stuffed it with this stuff.
It was absolutely messy (as some of the other reviews state) and I recommend having at least one lint roller on hand and to do it in an enclosed space as it will kinda get all over the place. Also, wouldn't wear anything knit while stuffing. Maybe if you aren't a desperate for sleep pregnant mama this will seem like a bigger deal to you - for me, worth every second of mess.
My other recommendation is to make sure you pull apart the stuffing clumps as you put it in the pillow otherwise it might be a bit lumpy, and also stuff more than you think you need at first. I probably used around 7lbs (I ordered the 10lb) and have a bit left over. I put a second cover over the first so I can wash it every now and again without too much hassle.

Once stuffed, my pregnancy pillow has given me the most amazing sleep. It is so soft and comfy. I absolutely recommend. I genuinely can't sleep without it. Good luck!
