I hunt 100x + a year, so naturally I've tried almost every safety product out there.
I've always used HSS safety lifelines and tree stand ropes, and they've always served me well. But I always felt HSS's tree stand rope was unnecessarily bulky.

Works great and held up to a full hunting season last year so I ordered again for my son's set-up. The carabiners that come with it are HEAVY though. I'm sure they're extremely safe and durable, they just weigh a ton. I swapped them out for lighter ones and used these to hang my kayaks in the garage.

I've been setting up tree stands for over 10 years and I just learned about using lineman's ropes to hold yourself to the tree as you ascend so that you can be hands free to set up climbing sticks and tree stands like a breeze! I keep my stand on my back and I have paracord loops around my harness belt so that I can hang my climbing sticks around my waist so that I can go up the tree and down the tree one time instead of up and down! Worth every penny!
