I purchased a pool deck ladder ( NE 9854 snap lock ladder). The ladder was easy to put together and is a good quality material, however the ladder tends to float up as there is no means to weigh it down. Perhaps adding such a feature would make this a 5 rating

We received our ladder with the box ripped open in several spots and as I feared some parts must have fallen out. I reached out to the company and they sent another right over. Assembly was OK, I had problems pressing the steps into place but other than that assembly was pretty straightforward. The handles are a bit wobbly and the steps float up a tinny bit but nothing that would hinder use. Our kids love it and so far it's been holding up great.

Easy to assemble. Easy to cut top to height. Steps are deep, wide and comfortable. The upper frame is not super stable but works fine. This has the wide, comfy steps we wanted without taking up lots of room in the pool. Should work with any 48-54" deep above-ground pool.

Lightweight, Easy to Assemble, need Sandbags

This was much lighter than I expected, and very easy to assemble. After putting it in place for my pool and deck I discovered the bottom rung was about 6 inches above the bottom of the pool, so I ended up trimming 6 inches off the handlebar ends. Trimming this hard plastic item was very easy, in fact a lot easier than I expected.
But I'm very happy with the finished product right now and I've had it since June 15th, and it is currently July 6th as I write this. It does not get a lot of heavy use from kids or anyone, and I tend to think that if it did I'm not that confident it could hold up against the "abuse" because of it's lightweight.
And because of its lightweight construction it will want to float, so I have some sandbags holding it down. I knew that it was going to be made of plastic so I'm not surprised it would want to float.
But for me and my family, we're very happy with it.
I have attached a photo of it with this review, and you can see the dark sandbags holding the bottom rung down.
