We had the dealer install the original remote starter in our 2018 Mazda CX-5 but it would only work on the car app and Mazda subsequently discontinued support as their product was on the Cellular 3G network. Incredibly easy to install this and recommend you go to the manufacturer's website and follow their video. The one on Amazon is shortened slightly. It actually took me longer to figure out where to zip tie the cables and the unit than the actual install. I really like that you don't have to carry an additional fob to start the vehicle. This product is a life saver in Phoenix where we just set records for days above 110 degrees!
I also reached out to StartX technical support on how to add the Carlink 6 to my StartX unit. They replied almost immediately with a connection diagram and protocol to use during the Carlink programming. That worked like a champ as well! Their Tech Support is awesome and reinforces my decision to buy!
