Anyone who has a diabetic pet and you need to test blood glucose levels on a regular bases i urge you to get one of these. Kinda pricy but so very worth it. I struggled till negan and I both were frustrated and in tears trying to get a drop of blood. Got this today and it went so smoothly I was smiling. Negan looked at me in shock when I said we were done and he actually jumped up and was like an excited puppy again. I wish we would have taken video. Its like he truly understands what's going on. He doesn't even feel the poke at all. I believe they have a version for humans also. Like I said kinda pricy but some things are worth the money

Getting used to caring for a diabetic pet is a lot. Shots twice a day, diet change, meal time change...and glucose testing was the worst. My little guy would cringe and whimper and my heart would break.
This system really works! We shaved a little area at the base of gis tail, and we use a warm washcloth for about a minute before we test. Works like magic - we get a good sample every time and he doesn't even notice. 😊

Traditional lancing our small diabetic dog (Yorkiepoo) was like torture to her, especially around her ears. As such we had to rely on libre's which are not ideal for optimal regulation. With discovery of the Genteel Pettest lancer we were able to "graduate" from the libres and our dog is living a much better quality of life now.
With the Genteel lancer she allows us to lance her whenever we feel the need.
We don't even bother with her ears anymore. We have shaved small spots on her shoulders and down near her tail either side of the spine where we rotate her lance spots. We divert her attention with tiny bits of "diabetic" treats and she could care less about the BG testing anymore. So very grateful for this tool. We recommend it constantly to anyone struggling with lancing their dogs.
