This lancing device is as accurate as my current one. No lancets starter pack included. The good thing is the lancets I'm using now is compatible with this device so I don't need to buy separate lancets. I love the vacuum technology on this device. It's much less painful to draw blood than the regular poking method.

This lancing device works well. Most lancets are compatible with and work with this device. It's easy to use and comfortable to hold, although bigger than the last device I was using. It says you can try alternate test sites to give your fingertips a break, but I have not tried that yet.

I have been using this lancing device for almost two months now. I am so happy to have made the switch. It really does make testing my glucose levels significantly more comfortable. I no longer have to squeeze my fingers to get the right amount of blood. My fingertips aren't sore or bruised either. Since I'm almost always able to get the right amount of blood the first time, I also save on test strips, lancers, and alcohol supplies! Overall, this has been the best investment on all fronts. I will eventually get a second device for my travel bag. I do recommend watching the instructional video that can easily be found on YouTube. You'll feel more confident using the device if you know how it's supposed to work. I'm glad that I purchased this model and not the more expensive one that's $69 and does the same thing as this one.

I've been testing my sugar fairly frequently due to side effects from long-term oral steroid use. This is SO much less painful than the traditional finger stick. I use it on the palm of my hand, right by the base of my thumb (where my skin is thicker and less sensitive) instead of my fingertip, and it's pretty comfortable (considering). The only time it doesn't really work as well is if I'm cold; in that case, I just use my finger (and even then have to squeeze a bit). The vaccuum makes a big difference for me most of the time, though. I will stick with one of these as long as I continue to need to test frequently.
