We have the original version. In comparison, this one comes in a better storage box. The rules and dynamics are pretty much the same but the "flip" element makes it much harder... Not only the fact that you have to slap the matching card with the back of your hand when the figure is seen from the back, but also the 3 special characters can be backwards as well - meaning you'll have to remember the right move and then slap with the back of your hand. Also it is not so obvious to differ the front and back side of the cheese - the only difference being the lack of smiley face and the name of the figure spelled out backwards (mirrored). But here in my family we play with kids that can't read English (nor Latin characters, for that matter) and this detail can be really difficult for them to perceive. In the end, I feel like instead of trying to be fast (in order not to be the last "slapper"), we focus on not being the first who slaps the wrong way. All in all, I still like the original version better.
