I purchased this device to record gameplay, using OBS, from a Nintendo switch. Overall I am happy with its performance and recommend it as long as you understand its limitations:
"¢ I know it's been called out in other reviews but just know that this device accepts 4k input but only records 1080p.
"¢ FPS recording rate seems to max out at 30fps but it might be limited by the games I've tested it with. Assume you won't see 60 with this device.
"¢ I paired it with an hdmi splitter (B0732MD43P) and it works great with no gameplay delays.
"¢ The picture is slightly saturated but was very easy to fix with OBS "color correction" filter. I set saturation to "-0.17" and the picture looked great to me. If you're very peculiar about the appearance of the picture you will probably need to tweak it even more.
"¢ I noticed no delays or jittery recording of the game play but, truthfully, I haven't really pushed it and I doubt the 1080p feed from the Nintendo Switch will challenge this device.
If anything changes I will update this review but for now I'm happy with my purchase.
