I have had a similar band saw like this but this one had so many more features and the craftsmanship of product exceeds previous version I had. Was truly impressed by the detail of manufacture and engineering for this product. This was lower price that the previous purchase but the quality and ruggedness of the design was many times better. Great buy!!! Love it

I think if you're planning on using this once a week it's worth stepping up to something better. If you're using it once a month you'll sleep fine knowing its good enough. It won't win awards for durability or fit & finish, but it's been a solid tool so far with little-to-no adjustments or maintenance needed and I have about 20-30 hours of straight run time on it. It is what it is, you just have to know it's limitations. I'd recommend it for a tool at home.
