My purchase was based on my craving for steel cut oats. I wanted to be able to make a pot of slow cooked oats ready for the first thing we wake up to in the morning. This product is worth every penny.
There is a slow cook option. With that I am able to adjust the timer to 8 or 9 hours. When that time is up it automatically goes to the Keep Warm mode.
The main feature that both my wife and I like is the ability to pull the main bowl out and clean it. If you remember the crock pots from a few years back, washing the inside was a balancing act try to keep the pot up and not to get the controls wet or drop into the water. That is not a problem here. The ease of cleaning was beyond our expectations.
And here's the fun part. We are now able to get rid of the old pressure cooker and steamer and crock pot and rice cooker - this one appliance has replaced four separate appliances freeing up much needed cabinet and storage space.
Plans now involve stews, chili, pasta, bean soups, casserole, and even some deserts.
The only minus is the intructions or directions were really lacking any detail at all. If you have experience with former crock pot cooking, you pretty much know what to expect in terms of times and temperatures.

This works great for hotpot. Easy cleanup. You can adjust the temp easily. My only complaint is how short the cord is. You definitely need an extension cord if you plan on doing family hotpot style.

I purchased this to make Hot Pot at home. I love that we can have two different broths going at once since the pot is divided. It heats quickly and seemingly evenly. The only downsides so far are the length of the cord (probably fine for countertop use, but we had to use an extension cord to put it in the middle of our table) and the fact that the pot isn't removable for cleaning. The description said it's dishwasher safe, so I expected the pot to lift out of the base. That is not the case with this model. The only piece that can go in the dishwasher is the lid. I was disappointed about this, but otherwise it was a good purchase for the price.
