We absolutely love this game. Our friends and family do, too. Ion the surface, it's a choose-your-own-adventure story with fun (and challenging) little mini games as ability checks along the way.
It seemed daunting at first but it was way quicker to pick up and play than most other games. Since it's so story driven, it's pretty easy to just start and learn along the way. We made some mistakes our first time through. They were simple to correct.
The replayability is high, too. It may seem limited to "only" have three stories to play though. I was worried about that going in, too. Since it's a choose your own adventure, there are SO many paths to go down. I feel like we didn't even see half of the cards the first time through. And that's just one story.
So yeah, we really do love this game. It's so much fun. The artwork is beautiful. The presentation is really clever. The stories are engaging and fun. It's just an all around great game. Highly recommended.
(I can't wait to play a solo campaign!)

Got this for my 7 yo who likes games, everyone who played had fun, up to the adults. I think we could play this a hundred times and not get bored, game play changes based on each decision and the actions are hilarious to watch. Just make sure you're on a stable surface for the purple pieces. Well worth it!

Paid $10 for this. Waaaay worth it. You basically dont really need half the instructions. Which means you can start playing in five minutes. Most of the cards list the exact instruction for the mini-game and if they dont, you can just read the instruction for that minigame in the book(its like 5 pages with large print font).
