This will not be used as a commuter mug, but for my purposes it is ideal. I like to keep my first cup HOT every morning as I do early chores. My old tall, skinny stainless mug required me to remove the cup platform from the coffeemaker. I love the fact that this one fits with no fiddling required. I gave it the drip test on the first day by closing the drinking port and inverting it. No problem. The tumbler has a slightly textured outer surface for a non-slip grip. I tend to run my machine for a 10 ounce serving of dark roast. At that setting, there is just enough room to add my oat milk, organic sugar and Madagascar vanilla. PERFECT!

These 12 oz mugs are shiny stainless steel inside and comfortable white insulation on outside. They really work to keep coffee hot down to the last drop! The outside is actually cold while the coffee inside is piping hot - amazing! I make coffee every morning and bring upstairs to my wife in bed! Prior to this I used paper cups and lids, such as Dixie, but they did not keep coffee hot long enough.
