I tried applying this to an office chair. 1. If I could have removed the leather portion of the arms it would have been much easier to apply. But since I couldn't I ended up pushing the edges under with the blade of a screwdriver. 2. I only needed to cover the center portion of the seat, with the allowance going in between the center cushion and side cushion. Problem was the tacky glue would touch the "once nice looking leather" and tear off the color. So by the time I was done, the whole seat needed redoing. Alas, I cheated, I ordered a stretch chair cover and covered it all up.

Shortly before covid shut everything down I ordered a nice (pleather) armchair, then waited months for it to arrive. 8 days after delivery my stup!d dog had a panic attack all over it and ate the back out of it. I was so mad because I hardly ever get anything expensive like that for myself. I just stared at a wall for an hour.
Once I gathered my wits and started looking for a solution, this patch was the best option I could find. It's been 2+ years and it's been holding up just fine. Not sure my handiwork did it justice, but it looks alright and I sit in it all the time. No further dog attacks to report.
