The box brings in television signals well enough with a digital antenna. It records television programs also (with a flash drive stick). But the buttons on the remote have to be pressed hard. Although, the more I use it, the easier the buttons work without pressing too hard. So I guess the remote has to be "broken in", which I've never had to do with other electronic products in the past. Overall, it's a nice box for the money. But if I were you, I'd wait for it to be on sale. Anything over $24.99 for this product is a rip-off.

This device is much more than a digital converter. It does contain a fine tuner that receives all the local channels in high definition, but it also does a fine job of recording programs or portions of programs and pausing live TV. It is a mini DVR!
