GIANT COMPOSTER DOES THE JOB!
Reviewer✓ Verified Purchase•August 19, 2023
This is the second one we bought. The first one we bought was about 15 years ago and it is still working great. We moved from our old residence and rented it out and our tenants love the old one. Years later, we bought this same model for our new house and it works great. The old one is still holding up through rain and sun and weather. Most composters are small and I never see them at this size for a residence unless you jump up to the industry size. This one holds about 260 gallons of compost. We were never able to fill it up even with lawn clippings, dry leaves, and fresh peels from daily cooking and juicing. It takes about 6 months to a year to get a good break down unless you use a compost supplement to help. Our tenant said after he started using the compost, the avocado trees started bearing fruit! Hopefully, this will happen at our current home. Great composter!
I looked everywhere to find this model and it was on Amazon - cheaper than any other place. We bought our old one from Amazon as well. The composter ariates well and never get soggy from the rain. Our tenants using the old composter said they keep adding at the top and pull out from the bottom and it doesn't have any issues. The photos are from the new one at our house and you can see we just started adding to it.
UPDATE:. still holds up great! We taped the two small vent holes at the top so when the rain runoff from our roof will not go inside. There are plenty of side air vents to airiate the compost. Fruit flies are part of the decomposition process so be sure you are not set up near a window. In order to keep your compost in good shape it's a good idea to alternate between what is called "green" and "brown". Green being fresh lawn clippings and brown being small dry leaves and lawn rakings. Stacking green and brown vegetation allows air to circulated and prevent molding and rotting. We do not add giant leaves like banana or plumeria leaves or sticks or palm leaves as these will not break down. Vegetable and fruit scrappings from cooking and juicing are perfect for this composter and break down at the same time. Compost ready for harvesting is removed from the bottom lid on the front.

I purchased one of these almost a decade ago and it has been fantastic. Its is built very sturdy and holds up to the elements wit no problems at all. It was a little difficult to assemble and get everything to fit correctly but once it was installed it has worked great ever since. If I ever have to get another one I will most certainly be purchasing another one of these.
Sturdy, easy to assemble, and massive

Easy to put together the roughly four pieces, with two more comprising the easier to "install" lid. The lid is the biggest issue as it needs to be put on precisely in order to open or close it, and most importantly to ensure it locks. If you don't have it perfectly it will not lock, or really even shut. The two pieces makes it unwieldy, but it is manageable. Kind of. This holds a ton of refuse. Seriously, A TON.
I'll be buying at least one more, with 3 being ideal, just like my old compost piles (fresh-added to pile, composting pile, and composted-ready-to-use pile.
Fix the lid and this is the only compost bin I'd ever need. No more messing with chicken wire and wasting valuable yard space. I can move these to any place I want, at almost any time I want to.
