The controls are fairly non standard and harder to use than other unit. Good stirring and heating, ceramic top is quite thin, which changes the sound a bit unpleasantly to a normal ceramic top.

I bought this unit to mix dye for my 3d printing. If you use Dyemore synthetic dye at 70 C you can dye your white 3d printed objects any color under the sun... the challenge is keeping the printed bits moving in the dye so you don't end up with white spots. What's also difficult is keeping the temperature up high enough to activate the dye but low enough to not melt your prints... 60-65 seems to be about the right temp for this. While this hot plate did take a long time to get to that temperature, it seemed pretty stable to me. Now it's time to dye more... (groan).

The product stirs very well, and has accurate rpm control. The temperature control is never goes more than 2 degrees away from where it's set once it reaches the temp. Heats up in a controlled rate, which is great for heating any sort of reaction as well as evenly heating for distilling.

It seems great and I have already used this magnetic stirrer for a couple of month. The screen can let you know the current temperature and speed, and achieve accurate control. I don't have any problems with the hotplate when I use it and I hope it can be as good as ever.
