My 12 year old son collects swords and he got these with his money her earned. For the price we were very surprised how well made the are! Shipping was great and my son would definitely recommend these to family and friends.
Nearly Perfection

First of all, $80 is a STEAL for these swords. They have decent quality for 3 weapons and a stand. The steel of the swords is strong, and I've seen NO chipping while using it against the occasional stick. They come out of the box sharp. Very sharp for an out-of-box weapon. I wouldn't say they are "cut a sheet of A4 paper" sharp though. My only complaint is that the smallest blade (tachi) is fragile compared to the other two weapons. After using them in not too harsh conditions, the smallest blade broke from the hilt, rendering it completely unusable. Luckily, super glue held it together enough to be a prop. Also, the handles are made from plastic for some reason. The Saya's are made from wood, the blade and hilt are made from steel, but for some reason the handle is plastic. The stand that comes with the set is alright, nothing too special. The three swords rested on the stand is a beautiful decoration. It's a great way to display your weapons aswell. If I could, I would give this a 4.9 out of ten, but Amazon isn't that precise yet.
Pretty and decorative - Might come slightly damaged

I took a star off because one of my scabbards was broken. A little glue fixed that right up, but I paid for a new item and got a damaged one. I can only review the item I received - not the one OTHERS received, so if you got a non-broken set, then good for you.
First off, these are beautiful DECORATIVE swords. They are not meant to be used for anything else, and anyone lowering their score because they are not battle-ready, or full tang, or any such hokeyness is not giving these decorative swords a fair review.. They're pretty to look at - which is why anyone would buy these, and not a $700-800 (or more) true sword.

They are beautiful, hefty, well balanced, and feel high quality to hold and admire. We chopped a water bottle in half with the big one for fun, but you're not going to be shaving your face with them. Sharp but not razors edge. Definitely a display quality sword and not for battle or sparing. Blades are well oiled and the wooden scabbards are very pretty. Also the stand is fine-it is on the lighter weight side and I was a little worried it would be wobbly so I super glued it to keep it tight. Looks great and works just fine! I'm ordering a wall shelf to display these properly. Love them!
