For the most part, I have a fully functional tool as described in an adequate case, not a great case, but one that will work for now, the addition of the gloves I believe is only to keep the tool and small dies from flinging all over the box in transport.

Here is my observation, the crimper looks like the picture, the case does as well, but the shears do not. It looks like they just found a random one, with cosmetic damage and possibly used a few times but still functional. One that not only looks different but is also a different color and size from the one pictured, and does not fit in the case as shown in their picture.

So how does this concern me? Given the overwhelming amount of options available to purchase things and tools just on amazon alone, I can only make my choices based on descriptions, photos, and reviews. so when the item I receive looks close but different I begin to wonder if it was a bait and switch and then begin to question the quality of every part. I guess time tells.

In conclusion, if I would have know the shears were just a random tool they threw in that does not fit in the case I would have purchased it without them. As for the case, Nice sturdy look, but the flimsy latches are destined for failure making the case useless in the future. I wish I would have noticed that in the pictures, I might not have made the purchase knowing the tool would lose its caring case within a few years or less. As I said, now I'm questioning the quality of everything I received because it's not what was pictured.

Good tool, handled multiple crimps on 4/0. Tool is very simple to use and it does specifically cater to large gauge wire.

This really worked well.
Admittedly, due to the low cost, my expectations were low, however, this tool performed perfectly and the installs it was used on are standing well in the test of time.

I used this crimper for a inverter install using 2/0 cable. The crimper works great, and easily crimped the large cable. You can pretty much do it with one hand, but the last 2-3 pumps may take two hands, or pushing against a table or floor. The tool feels sturdy and the hydraulic pump action seems well built. Also, the kit came with heavy duty wire cutters. I was not sure if they would be any good, but they actually did a great job cutting the 2/0 cable I was using.

Two items that need correction are- the "On/Off" valve is labeled backwards. "On" opens the jaws and "Off" closes. Not a big deal, but not professional. Also, the die sizes are not correct. I was crimping 2/0 and the 2/0 die was no where near a tight crimp. The 1/0 worked fine for 2/0 wire. I haven't used any other sizes at this point, but I would expect to need to do a test crimp for the correct size.
