We bought this for our 11 year old son's birthday. It came in on time and was easy to assemble. I like the fact that it has a bag to carry everything. It is really light and portable. I don't like where the side eye piece is - for some reason it is hard to use but other than that it works great. We haven't had any clear nights to use it yet but were able to see part of the moon. Still haven't had a chance to use the iphone on it but plan on doing that sometime this weekend. Overall a good beginner model for our son.

I purchased this for my 13 year old son and I didn't want anything too complicated. I was looking for something that we could grab quickly and set it up for a random "hey, let's look at the stars" moment. The set up was simple and the instructions were easy to understand. Each part was clearly identified in the instructions, which I found helpful. It's a nice little telescope for a beginner, or for someone who just wants something simple for a quick impromptu gaze. The quality is fine for what we wanted it for. I have never used a telescope before and I found it simple enough to figure it out. Trust me, if I figured it out, anyone can. The carrying case is small, which makes it easy to store it when not in use. I don't think that the images with the lenses we got are going to blow you away, but it is great for just a little extra fun while stargazing. It really is perfect for what I wanted it for - small, not overly complicated, casual stargazing.
