This model was a replacement of a different cheaper brand and my dvd got stuck in the machine. Needless to say, I had to break it open to get the dvd out. I am hoping this brand will last longer than my last one and I won't have any problems with it. Easy to put the cords in the designated color coded input on the back of the player and into my TV. So far I am very happy with it .

This unit was inexpensive but seemed to work well in the beginning. The logic was different and slow to respond. Then, it began to misbehave. After pressing pause and then power off, the unit no longer would return to that place in the dvd. Settings had to be redone. Finally, two weeks after the return period closed, the unit failed to read known good discs. Save your money. Buy a name brand unit.
As an addendum to my original comments, I was contacted by a Christin from Gokuid customer service who offered a new player or a full refund to correct my issue. It was a very pleasant surprise! In today's world this kind of service and backing is almost unheard of. I upgraded my rating to 4 stars based upon the friendly, courteous and helpful service provided by Christin. I selected a full refund as I had already purchased another player and received the refund the next day.

The media could not be loaded. This DVD player is very user friendly and easy to hook up. It comes with both cords to be able to hook it up to different televisions. The picture quality is great. It runs quickly and doesn't have any loud sounds such as other DVD players. It is very lightweight as well. Initially, after hooking it up and starting the first DVD it did not fit the movie to the full screen. I tried multiple DVD's and it did the same thing which was slightly annoying, but after I turned it off I noticed the remote has a Wide setting I probably should have just clicked to fix the picture issue. Overall, I am happy with the DVD player. Keep in mind, this is not a Blu-Ray player- only DVD. This would be great for a kids room as it's very compact and light!
