The media could not be loaded. It's that time of year when you start to winterize your home and car. We own an suv and a van so we have 2 vehicle to prep. One of the most basic and important tools is the snow and ice scraper. In the northern Midwest we can get some wicked winter weather. It doesn't always happen when you sitting at home either. You could run and errand for an hour and come out and find your car covered in a sheet of ice or 6 inches of snow. If you don't have your own scraper you're going to have to rely on a stranger or try out some strange life hacks. I for one want to clean off my car as quickly as possible and be safe and warm inside.
This scraper/ brush combo is awesome. It does the job really fast and effectively and I'm dry when I'm done. Let me explain. The long arm is amazing. With an extended reach, I am not leaning and rubbing up against the snow and wet car. The swivel brush makes clearing the snow off of the windshield so much faster because I can push and pull. I can swivel the brick head to clean off the roof and for easier storage. The ice scraper works great too. It just plows right thorough shattering it into brushable pieces.
It also appreciate the handle. When everything is wet, it becomes slippery. This foam covered handle provides the ability for a better grip and less fatigue and better control when your trying to work as fast and your hands are numb and freezing.
I would add that we have one on each vehicle as well as a third one in the garage. We get so much opportunity to use these snow brushes and in our experience it's good to have one in each vehicle, but an additional one that can be accessed when the cars are covered in snow and can't get the doors open without and avalanche or simply because they're frozen shut.

This was less expensive than others, so I thought it might be cheaply made, but it seems as sturdy as any others I have owned. From a storage perspective, it's relatively compact when retracted, and the brush turning parallel is a nice feature. It would be a 5 star for sure if it weren't for the fact that there is no grip on brush end when extended, which is a really big design flaw. Scraping the windshield of my truck is probably where I need the extension the most. Using the scraper requires a stronger grip than the brush, so it is a major shortcoming. You can't switch the ends around because of the different tube sizes.
