This chest looks exactly as shown. Very nice craftsmanship. The finish was very nice. The Cedar has that light Cedar smell that keeps my blankets fresh smelling. It came fully assembled and well packed to survive shipping. My only disappointment was I originally tried to order one with a waterfall lid. The vendor contacted me that the last one they has was damaged and they had to cancel the order. I'm impressed that they would not deliver a damaged product just to make a sale. The new one I ordered is still very beautiful and I like the traditional lid on it.

this chest arrived, damage free, exactly as it was described, packaged very well in all cardboard. the 42" is a decent size, I am able to fit 3 king size quilts and a king size sheet set in it. smells fantastic and the items out of it have the cedar smell for a few days! it is durable enough to use as a bench with the lid closed yet light enough one person can move. recommend and will buy again.

Beautiful cedar chest. Bought as a present for my daughter graduation HS so she'd have something to put important things in for the future. It's the perfect medium sized chest, doesn't take up too much room. We learned a lesson though. She left this in the middle of her room after she first got it and places two books on top of it. She has a sky light and the light changed the color of the top, leaving two book shaped spots on the top.
