Great new kitchen tool!
I have wanted a mandoline for years but the cost put me off. I saw this price and figured that even if it wasn't the best it would be a great started tool. It is first-rate. Easy to set up and use. Sturdy. Small enough for my tiny kitchen. I used it right away and was happy as a clam. Clean up and storage a dream. I may get another for my second residence.

I have been looking for a slicer and decided to try out the Joyhill V Blade Mandoline Slicer. The exterior of my box was damaged upon arrival but thankfully, all pieces were intact and in working order.
When unboxing your slicer, make sure you put the gloves on. I mishandled one of the blades when I was looking through the box contents and almost cut myself. After I read the instructions, I attempted to switch out the blade that was already in the slicer. The blades don't slide in easily. It took several tries, but I finally was able to insert the new blade.
Make sure that you place a plate or board under the slicer to catch the items you are cutting. Also verify that the food holder is on the slicer correctly or you make have some plastic piece slices, too.
I like that the Joyhill V Blade Slicer doesn't take much room and also that there is a container that houses the blades when they are not in use. There are six different sizes of blades. You can find them labeled on the edge of the blade. In addition, the slicer is easy to clean and comes with a brush for the hard to reach areas.

Mandolins are the old Skool food processor...it's easy to use, but also easy to slice your finger tip off. Use all the safety gear and guidelines, and you will be very satisfied with your experience.
