I've read some of the negative reviews about this product, but my experience was the opposite. The directions were easy to follow, the kit was simple and easy to use, and the turnaround time was swift. One does, however, need to have faith in the accuracy of Alpha Energy Labs. Although they're not accredited by the Better Business Bureau, they do have an A+ rating, and the BBB hasn't received any complaints. I am a satisfied customer.

I have used a few other radon kits in the past and this one is very easy to use. The kit comes with well written instructions explaining where the radon sampler should be placed and explains other important information as well to help obtain the best possible results. Be sure to read the instructions carefully before starting the test. A serial number is included on the sampler which is used to register the kit with their website online. You provide some basic information about you and your location as well as the date you started the test. The company will then remind you when the test has reached the end of the testing period then to place the sampler back into the included resealable mailer. A fedex return label may be purchased and printed from their website if you wish, mine cost $9.25. Purchasing the label from them does provide a guarantee that if something happens during shipping they'll provide you with a new kit.
My kit is currently in the mail on it's way to the testing center so I should get results back in the next few days. Overall, the kit was very easy to use. The hardest part was finding a good location to place the sampler for 3 days.

Followed instructions as to placement and amount of time exposed to interior air of home. Mailed back but the reply system wasn't overly clear and ultimately the results just made a reference to "small amounts detected over a 48 hour period." I guess now I Google to try to figure out what that means.
