Instructions are in Chinese LOL!! But seriously, it's just place & snap. It's not perfect but if you played with this in the 80's, these things just come apart during play but for the most part, it was a win for us. So if you never had one of these back in the day, the car will fly off the track if you just hold the trigger button down all the way. It has to be held down gradually, then it will be able to zip around with no problem. Sometimes the track pieces come apart, but just slide them back together. No plug? No problem"¦there's also a crank to generate the electrical force needed to move the cars. Overall, cool toy"¦took me back. I'm glad my son can enjoy a quality toy from an old school imagination.

This was a present for our child and she loves it! It reminds me of being a kid as well, and was a blast to play with it together. Easy to assemble and the hand-crank option was really fun. It takes some practice to not run the cars too fast with the hand method and keep them on the track, which was a fun challenge.
