Lock is all metal cast. and is easy to use. The instructions are fair. They don't tell you to charge it before use. If you don't it may not work. The first one I got didn't work even after charging. Seller set a replacement right away. Over all a good lock for an ebike to discourage some one from walking of with your bike. I bought a luggage cable to use with the lock to secure bike to pole or rack. I would buy again when I need one
