Of all the foam steps I ordered this was the tallest but still not tall enough

I have a senior Pomeranian (9 yrs old, will be 10 in November) and my bed is 29.5" tall. He used to jump on the bed (not sure how he managed it) but now he needs to be picked up and placed on it.
I wanted something lightweight that I could drag from bedroom, to office, to family room so that I could acclimate him to always waiting for the steps as a cue (and not jumping even when he can manage it - since he also has a torn ACL).
Unfortunately, this is too short and while he climbed right up once I unboxed it and let it fluff up, he won't make the leap from the top step to the bed without assistance.
Had to find a big box (I don't own a vacuum sealer) and return it.
I don't want to purchase a heavy wood one, so now I'm back to square one. Sigh.

I got this specifically so my 17-year-old cat who is now going blind can climb onto my bed with ease. He learned how to use them after 4 days (with treats ofc) and I was shocked (he is quite smart!). Cover was easy to put on and they even sent me a complimentary lint roller! So nice. Overall very pleased with this product. Stairs are nice and big and sturdy and cushiony for my little man 😌 I would recommend these stairs for pets with special needs but keep in mind the dimension of these stairs and the room you have to properly use them. A+ product.
Love it! Ignore negative reviews.

I almost didn't buy this, because there was several really negative reviews about it never coming to the right shape, and the cover didn't fit. Since Amazon is so good with returns, I decided to give it a shot and I'm sure glad I did. I didn't experience any of those negative things. As a matter of fact, I was shocked that even though mine also came very tightly bound, It bounced into its full shape in less than 10 minutes. The two pictures I have posted above of it with, and without the cover were both taken within 20 minutes of unpacking it. The cover is a little loose, but I think it still has some growing to do.
I noticed in several of the pictures were people were complaining it look like they have it upside down. Make sure you remember that the longest part of it goes on the ground. Same holds true for those that said the cover doesn't fit. Make sure you're trying to put it on the right way. I'm not saying that everyone that complained about it was wrong. I'm sure if some people had legitimate issues. I'm just saying I did not have any issues. Love the product and I think some of the people may have been not following instructions properly. Amazon has several similar items to this. I'm so pleased with mine, I actually was beginning to wonder if some of the people that gave bad reviews had come back and accidentally selected this item to review rather than the one they purchased. I did see complaints of the three step wasn't high enough so I did get the four step and I'm glad I did. It's plenty high for both the sofa and my bed.
I have a recommend you give it a try. My dogs, love it and used it immediately.

Helpful high-density foam pet steps

I found this product in an article in The Spruce, while researching carpeted pet ramps for aging dogs.
I was hoping to find a review of a hood wooden ramp with sides, to protect my little old dogs from falling off as they climbed. (The carpeted pet steps I owned then looked painful and were slow for my little dogs to navigate as they aged.)
But the weight & cost of a nice wooden ramp with sides and a long, gentle slope added up to more than $600. And the article referenced the benefits of high-density foam of this product as the gentlest solution for old arthritic joints.
So I "bit the bullet" and bought one.
I trained my dogs to climb it onto the couch & off the couch with a few treats. They adapted to the springy feel almost immediately, and were comfortable going up and down very quickly as they used to use the doggie steps.
The product was lightweight and easy to move and set up.
I bought a second one, and then a third one.
Note that if you're buying these for an old dog with cataracts, buy the palest color - the light gray. I had one in the dark brown to match a brown leather couch, but after a while, I felt the dark brown blended in too much and wasn't visually as easy to spot for my guys.
