If you were thinking about ways that you can feed your family in a survival type situation - This net would be an excellent choice. I originally was looking at seign nets, But when I saw this, I had to get one. I haven't used it yet, but I did open it up to see the quality. For the price I was impressed. If you're thinking about survival, and for a way to provide food for your family, this would do the trick.
I will say that I live in an area that's coastal. So we have moving water all the time. I don't know how well this would work in a pond or lake that has no moving water. But for a body of water that is moving, like a stream or river, this would be an excellent choice.

I only got to try this once, before winter set in. I requested the largest one and I might be regretting that. It's not as easy to deal with as I thought.
Nothing wrong with it, it's just a lot of netting, it can get twisty pretty easily. I think I should've expected that, though.
Anyway, I'm a prepper and I got it for that reason. As I said, it's large, so it's definitely a bug-in tool, but if SHtF, it's going to be very useful because it's very effective.
Don't try to use it on a fast river. It does have a chain frame but that's more for weighing down the bottom.
It does what it's supposed to. It's not particularly heavy duty but for a 'portable', river use, it's fine.
There's no price listed atm but presuming something under $40 (for the largest), I think it's worth considering.
