This jackplate follows the K.I.S.S METHOD of design. It work's incredibly well and yet has simple components that increase longevity and reliability even in saltwater environments where I live. No electronic components to fail. My favorite jackplate on the market. I was initially given my Jackplate for free to make videos for KayakDIY Channel, but I later chose to pay for it. So my opinion is non-bias.

Love this jackplate. so easy to raise the outboard to run extremely shallow water with no issues. Way better then other jackplates just crank it up and down as needed no having to stop and get tools to raise or lower outboard. Best manual jackplate on the market.

I'm able to get in very shallow water! I bought this jack plate for my restoration project on my 13 foot sport 1972 Boston Whaler! It's fun to adjust the trim to your desired height for optimal speed. I can get into 10 inches of water now and run full throttle easily. So much fun! The product definitely does the job! Installed it by myself with clamps to hold it in place. The one thing I don't like about the product is that it does not come with the mounting hardware. I had to make a trip to the local hardware store to purchase nuts, bolts and washers. Not a big deal but c'mon man I spent $600 on the jack plate and you can't provide me hardware. Make sure when you buy your hardware you buy stainless steel products because the jack plate and hardware will get wet. Don't blame Amazon for lack of hardware. It's not there fault but the fault of the manufacturer who sells the On the Fly Jack Plate. I will say it was at my door next day! Can't beat that! Thank you Amazon for speedy shipping!
