I was skeptical that this would do what it claimed. I am pleasantly surprised it works perfect. The solar panel does it's job and the motion sensor picks up anything that comes up. I have it attached over the back door of my porch and it kicks on for all critters big and small. Cats, raccoons, and those pesky possums. No more sneaking up on me. Great value fir the price. I would buy another one.

The remotes don't seem to work well unless close by. I needed the remote to get the lights to work just in motion detection. They are really bright and the motion detection range is pretty good. I live kind of in the country with a farm behind my house. So it's dark in my backyard. I have 2 of these and it lights up the area pretty well. I plan on getting more to light up the back half of my yard and some for the front half of my yard. Very happy with this purchase.

I liked these lights so well I reordered additional ones. I live in a 6-unit apartment house in a historic district, and I placed these lights in various strategic locations to provide motion-activated security and safety for the tenants. Above walks. On outside stairs. The steps from the parking spaces in back. For years the walks around the building were dark and really needed additional light. But the neighbors don't want constant night light, so these motion-activated lights are perfect. By putting a series of them in specific places, people now have light when and where they need it, but the neighbors don't have to have the annoying light pollution all night. Of course you do need to mount them so they receive adequate direct sunlight so the photocells can keep the battery charged. Some years ago a tenant was sprayed by a skunk that they disturbed in the darkness of an unlit walk but with these lights, that is less likely to happen. I've seen it activated by various nocturnal animals (raccoon, coyote, rabbits, skunk, etc.) so apparently where I placed them is effective enough to be activated even by these small critters. But it will keep folks from possibly startling an animal that could react defensively. So bottom line, they are great. I did notice one got activated on a windy night, I presume by nearby vegetation movement caused by wind, so that is something to consider. There are three options for setting how they work and they come with a remote control for positive convenient control. For instance , I have one that lights the walk and patio, but if folks are sitting on the patio and don't want the light coming on and off as they move, so they can enjoy the stars and quiet darkness, they can just use the remote to temporarily deactivate the motion sensor. Or, if they want constant light, they can select that. Several tenants have remarked about how much they like the added light and safety. Highly recommended. They are very bright and effective.

This was a 2 pack of lights and worth the price for that. There is a remote which I don't use. The motion detection works well and has an acceptable distance but it depends on the mount angle. My dog sets off the motion detector easily, but I wish it had a wider detection area. The light brightness is pretty good at closer distances but drops off rather quickly. The one thing I really don't like is the timer for the lights to stay activated. They come on but shut off really quickly after only a few seconds. You either need near constant motion or they just go off. Don't like that at all. Installation was easy. Anyone with any minor skills should be able to install.
