I would gets again, but large it fully once you get it

When I first got this, I was disappointed. It was bright in the house, but once I went outside during the night, it didn't light up anything in front of me. I go flying my drone before sunrise on my trike and the bike path I ride on has been a bit messy from the hurricane we had here in SW Florida. I had tried several bike lights and none of them worked for me.

After charging this one, I was extremely surprised at how well it lit up everything n front of me AND off to the sides a bit. Completely even lighting across the area lit up. No banding light is what you get with some lights. No hot spot. Just smooth even light. Now, I have to say this, although it completely lights everything up in front of m, I have to charge it again once it gets to about half the battery. Now, inside, it is still very bright, which is great, but since I need a light that lights up everything every time I go out, I just simply recharge it once I notice it's changing.

The light part is like the head of a nice solid LED flashlight with the glass like the lens on a camera. Kind of rounded instead of flat. That's most likely why it gives off smooth lighting. The head will go up and down about 90 degrees or so snapping into place each time you move it so it stays in place, where you want it, very well.

I don't have any problem with this light. Well, one little thing is that the inside of the band in the back where the battery pack is it's starting to show some wear after only a month or so of wearing it. It uses 3 18650 batteries which don't show the mAh. It has 3 levels of brightness with strobe and SOS features. There is a button on the battery pack that turns on a steady red light or a blinking red light if you press the button again. Pressing the button also shows how much battery life you have left and there is a mini USB port for charging as well as a regular USB port if you want to use it like a battery pack to charge your phone or other devices that charge via USB.

The light has a zoom feature which will let the light flood the area or zoom in on a small area in front of you. You can't tell by the picture but when zoomed all the way in, you see the 4 quadrants of the LED. The light mechanism itself is a very strong metal and seems very durable. This is a VERY good quality flashlight. Even the plastic battery casing is much better than all the others I have tested.

If this one gets lost or something happens to it, I will definitely get another one. It came very quickly after ordering it. The price was very decent compared to others and then after factoring in the excellent quality, it's a very good deal for the price.

I bought this myself and nobody has influenced my review. There are times when companies send me products, not the case here, and I let them know that I give my real opinion on the review of the item. I make sure they understand that. Some companies have decided not to send me items because they know they might not get a good review. I always let you know the good and the bad about my purchase. The only thing I could find, which isn't really that bad, is the wear on the band, but like I said, that's not really bad. I might ask the company for a spare headband later.

Hands down, one of the best purchases of 2022.

Buena intensidad de iluminación

La intensidad de la iluminación es excelente. Es muy buena para trabajos en lugares de poca iluminación sin embargo la batería solo le dura unas 4 o 5 horas como máximo.

the on/off switch location is difficult to access, very bright also a bit bulky.
Blinded by the light
Amazon Customer✓ Verified PurchaseAugust 24, 2023
Only used this twice so far now, so can't attest to charge time (used straight from the box), how long a charge will hold (I'm going on 4+ hours now), or durability (but it seems as durable as other headlamps I've had in the past).

"Then why am I even reading this?" you might ask --- well, it's because I wanted to write my initial review before I forget, and I'm procrastinating on doing other, important things.

The three big pros and their baby cons (tangent: I'd totally watch a movie/tv show if this was their tagline):
1. Light is super bright, way brighter than my last headlamp. While I liked the intimidation factor with other path-users (even though I angled the light all the way down, if I forgot to lower the brightness I accidentally temporarily blinded passer-by with any form of head-nod acknowledgement, so a few avoided looking at me when we passed...but maybe that was for other reasons...), I wish the default setting was the lowest intensity. I want to be noticed by cars and see my path, but I don't want to blind someone and cause an accident. Starting on low would likely help extend battery life too.
2. The hands-free on/standby feature. LOVE it. Can see the usefulness for grilling at night or camping, when my hands are kind of gross so I don't want to touch anything until I wash my hands, or for quick on/off when I have my hands full (dog leashes, water bottle, groceries, etc) and only really need the light temporarily while crossing at intersections or for paths of varying lit-ness. Once you power on, you can adjust the brightness down and then turn on the hands-free option to keep it at that intensity between on/standby mode, BUT if you do turn your headlamp off at any point (not just standby), it will revert to the brightest setting when you turn it back on. The only way to lower brightness is to manually click the button which sorta defeats the point of hands-free. The 3-4 extra clicks likely isn't a biggie for normal people, but it's a pain for people like me with a short term memory who keep accidentally turning it off and need to redo the whole process every few minutes. Furthermore, the light is so bright that when I bring my hand up to press the button, the reflection off my palm is blinding. To be fair, my palms are pretty pale and my default reaction is to reach the button by bringing my hand in front of my face. I guess the situation could be improved by tanning my palms/wearing dark gloves and/or training myself to awkwardly reach the button my swooping up from the side, elbow akimbo, but I don't think I'm smart enough or truly dedicated enough for any of these solutions to a minor inconvenience.
3. This is lighter than my old headlamp (likely due to not needing batteries). and there's no bobbling. (1) hat-less, I needed to wear a bandana just for an extra buffer between it and my bare forehead to avoid chafing and getting the headband nasty with sweat. In non-exercise applications though, it'd be fine by itself for short periods of time. (2) with a hat though, it kept slipping, even with a bandana underneath it over the hat. Slipped only a little when jogging, but it slid off completely when I did some toe-touch stretches. Some combo of both the band and hat fabric being smooth so there wasn't enough friction to hold it in place. My last headlamp had grippy spots which prevented that. I get that there are pros/cons to that design, but personally, I would've appreciated something similar on this headband.
