Looks and feels like $50. However perfect if you just need a desk for the occasional use

I picked this up to give my guest room a little hoteling space. This is good for a friend or family member visiting to set up a laptop and surf the web. Anything more than that and it becomes not that a great of a desk. Quality of the build is on par with the cheap items at that Swedish furniture store, and appears strong enough with the aluminum legs. Top is less than 1/2" thick, but the screws are machine screws and they go into brass inserts on the underside of the top.
Comes with two legs, table top, two cross beams, six screws, and an Allen wrench. I would recommend getting a rubber or nylon tipped mallet to tap the cross beams in as those are held in by force not by screws. That in turn could the weak point if the screws work their way loose, so make sure the screws are tight. For what I needed, it is a decent investment. If you plan on putting in more miles with it, you may want to invest into the $100+ desks at that Swedish furniture store--I'm still using the one I bought from ten years ago.

Sturdy desk overall

This desk looks great, I like the look and feel. I have an electric varidesk and two monitors and a laptop on it. It doesn't jiggle, even when I bump into it it barely moves.
My biggest issue with it (and another single desk I got at the same time) is I could not put all the screws in due to the holes being off by a quarter inch or more. However, this doesn't affect the sturdiness of the desks in this case, because the ones that are off are in the middle of long sides. This isn't to say your desk will have the same mismatched holes. If the corners would have been off, I have no idea what I could have done about it, other than drill new holes (not something I would have wanted to attempt) because the second biggest issue was there is no way, once you open the box, that it's going to go back in that box. The cardboard is very cheap, and kind of crisp. It breaks easily and once it was open everything just kind of fell out.

The desk is longer than it is wider I have a 32in monitor and it fits right on the desk with barely any room for my keyboard or anything else. Overall I like the desk it's sturdy and was easy to assemble.
