I bought this to help me with my backswing but after using this with my dog around, I found that they love it too. Setting this up and loading it is really easy to do too. All I had to do was put it together out of the box, load it, plug it in and done. Where I live we have a community tennis court for the neighborhood but there are no plugs. I was able to use a portable power station to plug this in and it worked with that too. There are 3 different speed settings that really make you work which helps with my running as well. I put it on the low and medium setting for when I use this with my dog and they love it. While it does take 4 D batteries, I found that plugging it in is more easier for me. Really has helped with my swings and great for teaching beginners.

Works for my purposes. I am a beginner tennis player, and just needed a machine to "pop" some tennis balls upward in my direction while I get better. It's like someone feeding you the ball from a few feet in front of you. I connect it the power adapter and use a Ryobi portable power supply for the machine.

The media could not be loaded. I was really excited about this product. My son plays baseball and my daughter is getting into tennis, so I figure this is the best of both worlds.

I used this with a portable power station. There are multiple settings for high/middle/low and speed from 1-4. There are two power buttons, one that controls the machine shooting out balls and the other that controls the rotation. You can power off rotation and have the machine send balls in one direction.

Old Review (with off brand balls)
It looks and operates well, but it does not execute in any sense of the word. From the video it shows a ball being launched a good enough distance for a player to hit it with a tennis racket, when I tried it with both tennis and dimpled baseballs, it would pop at best 2 feet, it was a weak toss and bounce regardless of the settings I used. I can't see this working for really anyone above the age of maybe 5.

I was hoping it would pop balls in the air or launch them a decent distance to make it playable by more ages, but it lacks the power or launch ability. It was easy to put together and does what it is suppose to do, but cannot go the distance.

Updated Review (using Furlihong Brand Balls)
This machine does not work with any other dimpled baseballs, it must be Furlihong brand balls, which are much lighter and launch exactly how you would expect. This was a game changer. I was using heavier dimpled baseballs and they would not launch; hence the video of them barely getting any distance; I've uploaded a new video and wow. After I switched to the Furlihong brand, it worked extremely well. It is great for catching pop flies in multiple directions or pitching, you just have to wait for the ball to come in range. You will see a ball flying by in the video as my son crushed it.

Overall, the balls make all the difference in the machine performing well. It definitely delivers.

Got this machine to help with kids tennis practice. It feeds the balls pretty well with good break time in between each feed. It lobs the ball at a slow pace. It is a little loud but it's not bad if you play it outdoor. Not strong enough to shoot the balls across the net to the other side, but works well with my small kids and I don't need to worry about they get hurt accidentally.

I am recovering from surgery so I cannot throw balls for my dogs like I used to for the forseeable future. While this machine was meant for baseball or tennis, it has been great for my pups! They get their daily dose of fetch while I can still play with them without hurting my shoulder during this healing process. Its literally perfect!
