You can see in one of my photos the grip handle ended up sticking up/peeling off to the pole.

You can also see a line going through the ball.

I got the colored ball with the matching stick. It's far from perfect, but in the end, it is a fun game to play during gatherings.

I love the look of the product. We have played every weekend since we purchased this item. The durability is outstanding. No chipping or breaking of the mallets or balls. Great purchase

This is an awesome set perfect for yard parties. Well crafted and seems like it will hold up for many years to come. This was so much fun to have at our Easter dinner.

We have a very nice croquet set that our family has used for years. It is Maple and Ash, and a quality which is near impossible to find now. 2 of the mallet heads were damaged at some point, so we no longer has a full set. I have since tried a few sets as replacements and this set is the closest we have come. The mallets are wood, and good quality, the correct weight. They are not hardwood, and so I doubt they will last 20 years, but they are better quality than most of what is available now. My 4 star rating is for the set as a whole. While the Mallets are nice quality., the rest is not up to that standard. The balls are plastic, and nowhere near the weight of the wood balls we have used for years. Even toy sets we got had wood balls, so I would say that these need to be replaced. The wickets are not a lot better. They remind me of large landscape staples. The picture with grass has one or more wickets in it. See if you can spot them. Very difficult. Playing with them was equally so. The bag, keeps everything together, but awkwardly. It is a cheap bag. It can hold the weight of the set but it is awkward to carry, and the handles may not last. The bag may not last. Our old set has a wood trolley. It was, however, a good deal more expensive. The bag with this set, however, is also not of the quality you would expect at this price.

In sum, you are buying this set for the mallets, which are reasonably good quality and around regulation weight. The balls are plastic and not great if you want to play a real game. The wickets are light weight steel. They would work better if painted. As is, they are very difficult to spot in a lawn. The bag... well it hold everything and that is about it.

Had many fun opportunities to pull this set out and use it at family parties, and really appreciate how well this is put together. A solid set, and I'm happy to call it my own.
