A pretty good imitation. At night, they look very real, but not super bright. They're noticeable from the street from up to maybe 100-150ft; maybe 30-40ft in daylight. That's typical for a battery led light.
I wanted a deterrent, I'm not interested in video recording of people & cars & pkg deliverers in front of my house. I didn't want a $50-$200 doorbell, then a $15-$40 mo expense to store video/monitor activity at my porch. That can quickly get expensive.
I think these imitation cameras are way better than posting a fake yard sign out front. Cameras are a much better deterrent; even if they're only imitation cameras.
I put one high up on glass of front & rear & side doors. Those plus a couple of solar motion detector lights do the trick. I put 2 out of three on the inside of the door glass, not outside. Keeps them out of the weather & hopefully they will last longer. I used the included double sided tape. That worked well.
No regrets on these. Hope they last a good while. They need 2 AAA batteries, not included with the device.

I did not know how to use the screws to attach to my hallway apartment door so I just used the sticky tape...and I love this item. I don't know if this will keep anyone from stealing at the Exterior Door...but it looks realistic to me.
My only concern is the battery life...and how to get more sticky tape when I need to change out the battery.
