(Read to the end for an update 1.5 years later!!!) I bought this stool to use in surgery while recovering from a broken ankle and unable to bear weight. The wheels are amazing, but that's the only positive thing I have to say. I can't sit on it more than half an hour before my legs go numb and my tailbone becomes excruciatingly painful (yes, I am sitting on it properly - I've used saddle type seats before). Just to validate my own perception, several people I work with have tried this stool and all found it unbearable after a short amount of time... which is good because it keeps them from racing down the halls on the super smooth wheels. The unfortunate part is I had someone toss the box before I had time to try it out, so I'm stuck with this horrible stool and out way more money than it was worth.
... that was April 2022. It is now Oct 2023 and I am buying a second stool. This is now the stool everyone looks for at work, myself included! (Yes, I have to share my chair!) I found that the chair was far more comfortable after it had been used a bit. It still isn't for super long procedures but it's comfortable enough to buy a second one to use at home while sewing and crafting. I'm getting the one with a back this time just to see if that's any more comfortable. Stay tuned...

If you need a wheeled stool believe me this Saddle Seat is the one! I have tired many "wheeled" stools. I tattoo and sit for 6-8 hours daily. I also have a bad back. I am sorry I wasted money on other stools. Don't do that! This product is your answer. The quality of your tools matter if you want something that is easy to use and comfort! Nothing comes close to the comfort and mobility of this Saddle Stool! I originally purchased this for the awesome wheels. It uses roller blade wheels. They move in 360 degree rotation. No more jammed wheels and they make it fun. That sold me right away. : ) These wheels are super smooth and extremely well made. My friend had this chair. I tried hers and I was hooked! Ran right to Amazon and treated myself. I love how the saddle seat puts you in a correct posture position. It takes a lot of strain off of my back. It's been a godsend to me and it will be for you too! I spend long hours on my stool and the others don't even come close. High quality material, smartly designed, very cushy and well worth every penny.
