I am real. I was not paid by anyone for this review.
It is only day 1 with the Duo Plus but so far I am very happy with it. I tried a Ninja Foodie but it tripped my circuit breaker every five minutes so I returned it. I also did not like the fact that the lid was attached and would be very hard to clean. The Ninja was extremely heavy! I did love the lit up display.
I have an old instant pot but I had to find my reading glasses and turn on bright lights to use the settings.
Enter the Duo Pot with it's brightly lit easy to read display! And a knob to turn instead of poking the screen a multitude of times to change a setting. It also has preset buttons. The lid is extremely easy to clean.
It came with a stainless inner pot instead of the usual teflon pot as in the Ninja Foodie. I don't use those so this saved me having to buy a stainless steel pot. After cooking beans, the teflon is stained and almost impossible to clean. I can use steel wool in the stainless pot and make it look new.
Another great feature that the Ninja does not have, is the 'button' to release the steam located away from the steam vent. Gotta love that! No more accidentally forgetting to turn the steam vent into the correct position.. that same switch locks in the correct place. The steam release was very quiet!
WHISPER QUIET STEAM RELEASE: The only multi-cooker with the quietest steam release, step-by-step cooking instructions on a large LCD display & a clear cooking progress bar for real-time feedback.
For frying I bought a $29 air fryer lid which you can find on Amazon ..1829 Carl Schmidt Sohn Air Fryer Lid For Pressure Cooker 6 Quart & 8 Quart With 8 Optional Presets And Led Touchscreen
I am assuming this new IP will last a long time since my old IP is still working fine after many years.
I recommend this especially for 'beginners' because of the step by step instructions on the screen as well as the steam 'button' which makes it more safe.

I bought this for my fire station and we used it for the first time yesterday. I couldn't be more happy with this purchase. The instant pot is of very good quality and works just as good as I'd hope it would.
We got a little behind getting dinner started, we slow cooked a creamy lemon chicken dish. Unfortunately, 3 hours wasn't enough to make the chicken as tender as I wanted, so I switched it to pressure cooker mode and gave it an additional 25 minutes. PERFECTION!! If not for the ability to switch modes like that, we would've had to wait at least another hour, maybe two before we ate.
I'm thinking I'm gonna have to replace my personal slow cooker at home with one of these Instant Pots now! 🤩

I had an older pressure cooker that was recalled. I also had a separate air fryer. It's really nice to have one thing that does both so I could condense to one appliance that does double duty. It does a really good job pressure cooking, but I was hesitant on its ability to air fry. This did a great job. I was able to use the accessories and create two layers in the air fryer to cook more than I was able to do in my original air fryer.
I admit that I had originally ordered a Ninja that was supposed to do double duty like this, but the Instapot brand was quite a bit cheaper and the Ninja wasn't able to be delivered for some reason. Glad I saved some money and got this brand instead. Does what I need and I saved a little bit of money.

love it, thought we would get occasional use, but now using it at least several times a week

Paid extra for the air fryer lid version with no regrets. We have a nice double oven and a 5-burner gas stove, but we pulling the instant pot out more and more. We have not used it as a slow cooker yet, though I have the lid to do that. For the pressure cook, we have made all sorts of things including pot roast, pulled beef/chicken, beef and broccoli (my new favorite!), meatballs and pasta, soup, "boiled" eggs (delicious!), baked potatoes (also good), and other things. We have liked most stuff we tried and the stuff we did not like was more of a recipe thing than the instant pot.
For the air fryer, I have made small batches of french fries, tater tots, and bacon, and it all came out nice and crispy. The mess is much easier to clean up after bacon than any of my other methods. I have reheated the mushy leftover restaurant fajitas and they tasted just as good as when they were ordered. I have reheated chicken and chicken tenders and they were as crispy as new. It is very versatile, but makes me want to get a larger air fryer that would handle more food at once.
Cleaning is okay. The biggest drag is the rubber ring that starts retaining smells, but that is a relatively small complaint. I clean it and don't always put the lid back on so it can air out. At first we would put the lid back on after it dried and the smells seemed to be building up, but letting it air out is helping with that a lot. Don't keep second guessing whether you will use it like I was, just get it, now

This is a much better update of the instant pot. The quiet release and the non-spin pot are a game changer for me. I have used way more already than I ever did with my original instant pot. It is a no-brainer and the digital display walks you through everything. Bar keepers friend powder cleans up any stuck on food.
