The fabric is woven in a way that it keeps your weeds from growing back or at least minimizes them but it still has enough of a mesh to it so that your water can get through to your plants. So far it's working great.

A large roll of barrier fabric and a good value for the square footage it covers. The fabric is thick, yet not too heavy to roll out and cut to fit. It has been working well as expected and time will tell how long it will keep grass from creeping in.
